Hello,
I would like to share my experience getting my blog ready. My experience creating my blog and setting up my mattermost account was overwhelming. I am not familiar with these platforms, so everything was new for me. Fortunately, I had the instructions; otherwise, it could have been chaotic. On the other hand, I am happy to learn a new tool that supports learning 🙂
Key points for my blog to be successful:
Be consistent
Explore and learn
Choose a topic that I am passionate about
Until the next post,
R.
Hello, Reyna. I appreciate your honesty with how new the process is for you; I’m sure you are far from the only one feeling a little overwhelmed. I do like the picture along the top of your blog, the colours are pretty and the soft organic lines offset the necessarily rectilinear look of the rest of the layout.
You are yourself a phenomenon when it comes to layout design; I’m sure your blog will look stunning once you get the hang of the tools.
I wonder what purpose the “Uncategorised” category serves, given that your first post is also categorised as “Weekly Reflections.”
I’ll see you in class,
– Emmanuel
Thanks, Emmanuel! I wonder the same about the ‘uncategorised’ section. It seems to me that is the main category where all the posts are archived, but I’ll have to ask our instructor about it 🙂
See you soon,
Reyna
Hi Reyna
I completely agree that it can be overwhelming learning new technology but I am glad you were able to figure it out. The picture on this post is a little small so I would suggest maybe making your pictures bigger in future posts? I liked that you stated a couple of goals for yourself moving forward. I also like your sign off with the first letter of your name.
-Kasey
Thanks, Kasey. I will surely work on resizing the picture.
Hi Reyna
I’m sorry it was an overwhelming process for you. When I saw Rich’s email about some people having issues setting up their blogs and accounts I immediately became anxious that I would have problems as well. Luckily as you said the instructions were very helpful and straightforward. Hopefully things will just get easier as we progress in this course.
